Melih walked in to ask a question about LaTeX, and he got the question part of the way out, and he happened to glance around and all of the sudden said, "What is this?' I think he was relatively impressed.

This was on old Church road in Savoy, in between Mattis and Prospect. This lady was headed east in her mini-van and ran off the south side of the road. When I drove by she was still pretty shook up. Another guy had stopped and they had called 911, and she used my phone to call her husband and tell him about it. In retrospect, I probably should have talked to him first. I'm sure that hearing her screaming and crying on the phone probably scared him good, even though she wasn't hurt herself.
