After being gone for a week, I arrived home and turned on my Infocus 4805 projector, only to be greeted with the scene in these pictures. The display was a series of black and white bands, with random color speckles. The only button on the remote that seemed to have any effect at all is the power button. The other buttons did nothing. I didn't get the initial Infocus screen or anything. The intensity of the display brightened a few seconds after initial power-on, (just like the 4805 has always done), but the banding is all that ever showed on the screen.
The eventual solution was a physical power reset. I unplugged the projector and plugged it back in half an hour later. That seemed to fix the problem.
