Allerton Park on a Spring Day :: flagpoles/statues/mazes

In late April, I decided to visit Allerton Park and see what it was that everyone was talking about. This wasn't your typical park filled with flagpoles and playgrounds. Instead it was filled with sheer elegance. There was so much beauty at times it was hard to grasp. Allerton Park was created by Robert Allerton in the 1920s and 30s. Robert was basically a very rich man (via inheritance) that enjoyed farming. He created several formal gardens and appreciated fine statuary. I enjoyed my day at Allerton and definitely plan to return. In fact, I did so in June. Pictures are available.
