From album Homemade (DIY) Infocus 4805 Projector Mount
A user that had looked at these pictures decided to make his own copy of the projector mount and this is what he came up with. If you have used this idea to make a projector mount, please let me know and I'll add your picture to the collection!

There is a piece of plywood that is directly attached to the projector. I had some trouble finding the right size screw that fits in the projector mount screwholes. I ended up with size 7 screws (according to one measuring scheme.. 4mm if you use an alternate measuring scheme). Figuring out where the screws are at and transferring that location to the board (I used 1/2 inch plywood, because I had it handy) is a bit tricky. I took a sheet of notebook paper, marked the edges, and then poked holes where the screwholes were on the projector. I was then able to sit the piece of paper on the piece of plywood and transfer the location. Then, I drilled larger holes that the downward facing bolts would pass through.

For the bolts pointed downward, I put them through the ceiling board, attached a washer and nut, and then used a washer and a butterfly nut on the bottom. By drilling out the hole larger you can gain a bit of adjustability in swinging the projector around.

The third, and probably final, pair of New Balance shoes that I've owned. Not very old. See >>my writeup by clicking here<<.

Top of the 3rd from Game four of the 2005 World Series. You can see on this picture that the screen is wider than what I am projecting. I used a 4 foot by 8 foot board, and I'm projecting approximately 7 foot by 4 foot. No comments necessary on the lighting job. See if you can find President Bush (senior) and Barbara Bush in the crowd.
